Meet Our Team

Elena Bradford
Yoga Instructor
Elena's Bio
Elena has been teaching yoga for 10 years now and 200 RTY certified, as well as 300 RTY, and Aerial certified. At first, she was more focused on the physical fitness benefits. As time went on, she deepened her practice through meditation, breath, and discovering the connection between the mind and body. Through her own personal journey, she has found a new outlook on life. Having a full time job, teaching yoga, and having two small children, life can be challenging and rushed. Yoga has taught her to slow down, enjoy, appreciate, and cherish the good moments while learning and growing from the not so pleasant moments.
Yoga is great for your body, but it also teaches us patience, gratitude, and the joy of living. In today’s busy world, living in the moment is key, even it is just for the hour on your mat. In her class, her main focus is safety and proper alignment, keeping you present in the moment (mind and body) and leaving feeling balanced from a well-rounded class. She has a very strong and dedicated self-practice. Through her continuing yoga education, she is able to provide new ideas to keep her classes fresh and engaging, sprinkled with fun and good music!

Shelley Onderdonk
Yoga Instructor
Shelley's Bio
Shelley Onderdonk has been a devoted practitioner of yoga since 1997. She views yoga as a vehicle for the exploration of the infinitely fascinating relationship between the body and the mind. Through her Hatha yoga practice, she has become accustomed to using the breath to meld the physical and mental aspects of the asanas, and to meeting stress with equanimity. She reminds herself daily that the best measure of progress in yoga is how much peace you are experiencing in your life.
Shelley is certified by the White Lotus Foundation in Santa Barbara, CA, and has been teaching since 2010. She was inspired to start teaching in order to expose people to what her own yoga practice fosters in herself: feelings of calm, gratitude, and self-empowerment. She hopes to give her students a glimpse of how settling one’s mind on the present time/space continuum, as is practiced in Vinyasa flow yoga, can exert a profound positive impact not only on their own well-being but also upon all those with whom they come into contact. Creativity and variety are key to Shelley’s teaching style; she endeavors to deliver fresh flows, ideas, and impromptu responses to her students’ needs in every class she teaches. Mindfulness practices are taught in order to develop focus and recognize that what we think, how we feel, and how we use our bodies truly create who we are.
Above all, safety is accomplished through proper form, alignment, and self-awareness. Through teaching, Shelley has benefitted from the bliss of teacher and students joining together on a path towards self-transformation and health. Yoga practice and teaching has integrated well with many of Shelley’s life-long interests: in healing (she is a practicing holistic veterinarian); in neuroscience (which was her undergraduate major); and in movement (she was trained as a modern and classical dancer). Shelley lives with her family on their horse farm in Aiken, SC.

Kelly Sigler
Yoga Instructor
Kelly's Bio
Kelly comes at aerial yoga from the viewpoint of a horseman. After fifteen years as an instructor of Rider Biomechanics and Natural Horsemanship as well an eventer, she needed something that could help her back and neck.
She had tried traditional yoga classes, and she had a difficult time mastering the poses and feeling confident about doing them correctly- and was worried about injuring herself more.
After consulting a good friend, she found Aruna Andes. She realized quickly how phenomenal Low Flying Aerial Yoga was and saw immediately how it could benefit herself and her students with their riding.
She became a Level 1 instructor and has continued her ongoing training with Aruna. Kelly’s focus is on low flying, restorative yoga. The goal is to help riders get out of pain or just stretch those areas that are tight! Kelly can help riders assess where the asymmetry is in their body and recommend exercises in the swing to address it. You will not only feel great and ride better- but your horse will thank you!
Low flying area yoga is not just for riders- it is for anyone that needs a little support in getting into the correct “yoga” position. The swing will act as your spotter and take the weight off of your knees or wherever the problem area might be so you can start the practice safely and get positive results.
Kelly uses a very special aerial yoga swing called the “Booty Bag.” After beginning her teaching, she quickly found how difficult it was to find affordable, good quality swings. Most of the swings on the market were made out of a type of parachute or silk material that did not give and actually weren’t super comfortable. The Booty Bag is a unique design with a very special fabric that is soft and gives. Aruna Andes, with forty plus years in the industry, designed the bag and helped find the perfect materials.
So come and try this very unique version of low flying aerial yoga offered exclusively at Half Moon!

Alexandria Edwards
Yoga Instructor
Alexandria's Bio
Alexandria is 200 RTY certified and has been teaching for the past 6 years in a variety of locations ranging from the coast of South Carolina where she was born and raised, to the mountains of Tennessee where she ran her own studio.
“I started my journey with yoga to physically change and support my athletic performance, and it wasn’t until a few years later when I found that while the physical HAD changed, it was the mental and spiritual practice that kept me coming back. The community I found in the different classes and the incredible power in coming together to connect with ourselves was truly life changing. I found that in giving the gift of non-judgement and non-harming, first to ourselves it overflows to reach those around us and every aspect of the world we come into contact with.”
In addition to being a yoga teacher here Alexandria also runs a honey company called The Honey Trust, and is a dedicated dog and horse mom in the hours in between!
